The Southwest Catholic Health Network dba Mercy Healthcare Group preferred drug
list represents those medications that, in the opinion of our Pharmacy and Therapeutics
Committee, are of established value, present a broad enough array to meet the usual
clinical problems and avoid duplication of therapeutic effect in a cost effective
manner. Drugs are added to the list based on objective, scientific data, including
effectiveness and side-effect profile.
The preferred drug list is continuously under review and as changes occur, the version
on the Web site is updated. The Web site is the most current and up-to-date version
available.
